Home inspections typically include a radon test, even if there is a mitigation system in the home you are purchasing. A very important “piece of mind” test to ensure your new home is safe OR can be made safe!
*The test is a two-three day test and costs approximately $200.
*Mitigation systems, if required, cost approximately $1800-$2500.
Even with a system installed, it’s smart to have continuous monitoring. We purchased an AirThings monitor and put it on our kitchen counter. Our readings were “safe” for over two years. Then, one day, the levels spiked to over 7.0 pCi/L. The earth moves and houses can change….ours sure did! We had GREAT RIVER RADON help us out and our home is now healthy!
